Whether you've attended church your entire life or never been at all, we know it's not easy visiting a church for the first time. You're not quite sure what to expect and you probably have a lot of questions. At First Church of God, we want to give you the best experience possible.
What Type of Church is First Church of God?
We are a loving, caring and vibrant church committed to spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ to the Rockaways and beyond. We are afflitated with Church of God Ministries in Anderson, IN; and National Asssociation of the Church of God in West Middlesex, PA. We are also participating members of the Eastern New York General Assembly of the Church of God.
Our worship services are held on Sundays at 11am.
Come in your personal sytle, whether that's a suit, jeans or tuxedo it's all up to you. Dress your best!
What Happens When I Arrive?
As your approach First Church of God you will find that there is ample parking in our spacious parking lot. Once at the door you will be greeted by our amazing ushers you will help you navigate the various areas of our facility, answer any questions you may have, give you a program and help you find the best seat available in our sanctuary.
What is the service like?
First of all, you won't be pointed out or made to feel uncomfortable in any way. You will have a meaningful, stress-free experience...and you'll have a lot of fun. Our services are full of dynamic worship music that spans genres and generations; and a powerful, relevant word that you can apply to your life.
Here at First Church of God we love ministry to children. All children are invited to join us in a fun, safe, clean, interactive environment where our team of trained volunteers creates an environment your child will want to come back to every week!
